The Chosen Pursuit

// May 26th, 2010 // No Comments » // Uncategorized

The Definition of The Chosen Pursuit:

The Chosen Pursuit is a path
The Chosen Pursuit is one’s calling in Life

And, sometimes, the pursuit is your career.

In the Chosen Pursuit, you attempt to achieve something. So, the Chosen Pursuit has a goal.

Your Chosen Pursuit is your course or progress through life.

In your Chosen Pursuit you acquire experiences, progression and roles. The sum of all these makes the pursuit more meaningful and rewarding than achieving the goal itself.

The Chosen Pursuit forms a distinct part of one’s life. Let it be adventurous, exciting and let it be in a path less traveled.

There will be diversions in your Chosen Pursuit. Don’t be afraid of them. These diversions make the pursuit more exciting and meaningful. Sometimes they make more sense.

It is important that you understand your path before you pursue it. And, as they say, you can’t connect the path of your Chosen Pursuit looking forward.

Let the pursuit be for love. Let the pursuit be for your passion. Let the pursuit be for some greater cause.

Don’t Just Live. Live Big!

This advertisement slogan for a TV advertisement (Reliance Big TV) caught my attention when I was waiting for a friend at a local bus stop in Bangalore. Those words attracted me so much that I immediately captured them with my mobile camera that I carried with me.

The advertisement read “Don’t Just Live, Live Big!”

Of course, Life is what we make. So, why not make it Big and Better?

Don't Just Live. Live Big!

Welcome 2010!

I wish to share with you, the reader, and to the world, an image that I created in memory of Indian Independence.
An Image In Memory of Indian Independence.
On this beautiful day, I’d like to share a few things about my mother land, India.

I am from a country that invented the numbering system (Zero was invented by Brahmagupta [c.598 - c.670]). I am from a country that established the world’s first university in Takshila in 700BC. (More than 10,500 students from all over the world studied with more than 60 subjects. The University of Nalanda built in the 4 th century BC was one of the greatest achievements of ancient India in the field of education.) I am from a country that introduced Ayurvedha, the earliest school of medicine known to human beings.I am from a country where Budhayana lived (Budhayana was the first person to calculate the value of φ. He actually explained the concept of what is now known as the Pythagorean Theorem. I am from a country that introduced to the world three things that I hate most, i.e. Algebra; Trignometry and calculus. :-)

I am from a country that invented one of my favorite board games, Chess. The father of surgery (in Indian terms) Sushruta, about 2600 years ago conducted surgeries like cesareans, cataract, urinary stones and they treated fractures too. Hey, anasthesia’s use was quite well known in ancient India. When many cultures in the world were only nomadic forest dwellers over 5000 years ago, Indians established Harappan culture in Sindhu valley. This civilization was known as “Indus Valley Civilization”. I am from a country that introduced the place value system and decimal system in 100BC.

I’m Indian.

Shouldn’t I be proud of my mother land?

Hello World!

Welcome to my blog. This is my general blog where I share my day-to-day events and some interesting stuff with you. I am starting this blog afresh after my database was corrupted due to some server issues. I’ll see to it that such worst thing never happens again.
