This video has changed many lives. I hope this will bring a change in your life and your thinking about yourself.

The video is about persistence. The video is all about two words – You Can.

Happy Living

I received a mail which claimed to have been forwarded from the Anthony Robbins organization. After reading the mail I felt happy and I wanted to share, with you, the gems carried by the mail.

I personally recommend that you please follow these guidelines in your life and encourage others to do so. I guarantee you that you could see a positive change in your life and will improve your relationship with people you come across in your lifetime.

Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
When you say, ‘I love you’, mean it.
When you say, ‘I’m sorry,’ look the person in the eye.
Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
Believe in love at first sight.
Never laugh at anyone’s dreams. People who don’t have dreams don’t have much.
Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it’s the only way to live life completely.
In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
Don’t judge people by their relatives.
    Talk slowly but think quickly.
When someone asks you a question you don’t want to answer, smile and ask, ‘Why do you want to know?’
Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
Say ‘bless you’ when you hear someone sneeze.
When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
Remember the three R’s: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.
Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
    Spend some time alone.

Confessions of an Unfulfilled Desire.

An elderly man, in the final days of his life, is lying in bed alone. He awakes to see a large group of people around his bed. Their faces are loving, but sad. Confused, the old man smiles weakly and whispers, ‘You must be my childhood friends, come to say good-bye. I am so grateful.’ Moving closer; the tallest figure gently grasps the old man’s hadn and replies, ‘Yes, we are your best and oldest friends, but long ago you abandoned us, for we are the unfulfilled promises of your youth. We are the unrealized hopes, dreams and plans that you once felt deeply in your heart, but never pursued. We are the unique talents that you never refined, the special gifts you never discovered. Old friend, we have not come to comfort you, but to die with you.’
– Les Brown.

So, my friend, never let such a situation described in the story above to come in your life. Please pursue what your heart desires and let your desires be something that is realistic.

Below is a poem that I thought I should share with you. This is a poem which is also known as ‘The Man in the Mirror’ and ‘The Man in the Glass’. The original author of this poem is Dale Wimbrow. This poem which was posted below was originally believed to be written by an anonymous prisoner in USA. But, it is now known that the author of this poem is Dale Wimbrow. The son of this author has a personal website where you can find more information about him.

This was the original poem as written by the author:

The Guy in the Glass

by Dale Wimbrow, (c) 1934

When you get what you want in your struggle for pelf,

And the world makes you King for a day,

Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,

And see what that guy has to say.

For it isn't your Father, or Mother, or Wife,

Whose judgement upon you must pass.

The feller whose verdict counts most in your life

Is the guy staring back from the glass.

He's the feller to please, never mind all the rest,

For he's with you clear up to the end,

And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test

If the guy in the glass is your friend.

You may be like Jack Horner and "chisel" a plum,

And think you're a wonderful guy,

But the man in the glass says you're only a bum

If you can't look him straight in the eye.

You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,

And get pats on the back as you pass,

But your final reward will be heartaches and tears

If you've cheated the guy in the glass.

Note: The word ‘pelf’ is an informal word for money or wealth.
